The buzz surrounding Sukumar’s Pushpa franchise continues to grow. While the cast and crew are busy with nationwide promotions for Pushpa 2: The Rule, which hits theaters on December 5, 2024, an accidental reveal has confirmed the much-speculated third installment, titled Pushpa 3: The Rampage. Fans of the franchise are ecstatic to hear about this exciting development.
On December 3, Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty took to X (formerly Twitter) and a shared photo from a sound studio. What caught everyone’s attention was the screen in the background, prominently displaying the title Pushpa 3: The Rampage. Film analyst Manobala Vijayabalan shared the same picture, solidifying the reveal.

Interestingly, this news we can connect back to 2022 when Vijay Deverakonda hinted at the threequel in a birthday post for director Sukumar. His caption read, “Happy Birthday @aryasukku sir – I wish you the best of health & happiness! Cannot wait to start the film with you 🙂 love and hugs 🤗🤍 2021 – The Rise, 2022 – The Rule, 2023 – The Rampage.” This post now seems to confirm that Pushpa 3 was part of Sukumar’s plan, way before than one speculated.

Adding to the excitement, reports suggest Vijay Deverakonda may play the main antagonist in Pushpa 3. While there’s no official confirmation yet, fans are eager to see the dynamic shift in the franchise. Rumors also hint at an end-credit scene in Pushpa 2: The Rule, teasing the next chapter. If true, this would undoubtedly leave fans thrilled for what’s to come.
The Pushpa series, starring Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil has already become a cultural phenomenon. With its gripping storyline and intense performances, the franchise is poised to break records set by films like Baahubali and Kalki 2898 AD. Pushpa 2: The Rule continues the saga of Pushpa’s rivalry with Bhanwar Singh, setting the stage for an epic conclusion in Pushpa 3.
