Naga Chaitanya On North Vs South Films
In a recent interview with Zoom Digital, actor Naga Chaitanya opened up about South films doing better than Bollywood films, Chaitanya said, “That’s all just a phase. I am sure Bollywood is going to come up with a great film soon and the entire discussion will end.”
He added, “But what I think is that there is no language barrier anymore and Indian cinema is becoming one. People are consuming content that relates to them the most, be it from North, South, East or West. Content is going to win going forward.”
“There is this great synergy happening from all states. So I don’t think it’s right to say that South will make a better film or North will make a better film. We all will make great films and from phase to phase everyone will be appreciated,” he further added.
Meanwhile talking about his collaboration with actor Aamir Khan for ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’, Naga said, “I have always looked up to Aamir sir’s work and learned so much from him as an actor. I never really thought that an opportunity will come across to work with him at such an early stage of my career. I am very thankful, it was magical.”
He concluded by saying, “The off-set bonding with Aamir sir was much since we spent so much time prepping for the role. We hung out so much together that we became such good friends. They all took such good care of me,”.
Laal Singh Chaddha stars Aamir Khan, and Kareena Kapoor in the lead, it also stars Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya in key roles. The film is helmed by Advait Chandan and produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom18 Studios, and Paramount Pictures. Laal Singh Chaddha will lock horns with Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan on 11th August.
