Tollywood stars Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala are all set to marry and fans couldn’t be happier. The couple got engaged on August 8, 2024 and recently, Sobhita shared a glimpse of their Pasupu Danchatam ceremony, which is a traditional Telugu wedding ritual marking the beginning of marriage preparations. Now, reports say the wedding will take place on the following date.
There were rumours that the couple might choose a destination wedding but it seems they’ve decided on a more meaningful venue. They will marry in the upcoming month on December 4, at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad, a place close to the Akkineni family, founded by the late Tollywood legend Akkineni Nageshwara Rao (ANR) grandfather of Chaitanya. A special mandapam (wedding stage) will be set up at the studio, making this a meaningful celebration for both the families and Tollywood fans.

The wedding will follow several typical Telugu traditional customs, including the jilakara bellam ritual where the bride and groom place a cumin-jaggery paste on each other’s heads to symbolize unity and sweetness in their marriage. Though the wedding will be private with close family from the Akkineni and Daggubati families, many are wondering if there will be a larger reception later to celebrate with friends from the Tollywood film industry.
Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala first met at a party in 2022. They connected instantly but kept their relationship private and made it public after their engagement. Their first official appearance together was at the recently held ANR Awards, where fans were thrilled to see them together.
