Superstar Mahesh Babu and acclaimed director SS Rajamouli are teaming up for their much-awaited film, tentatively titled SSMB29. This collaboration has sparked immense excitement among fans, especially after Rajamouli’s massive success with Baahubali and RRR. Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli’s project is said to be an action-adventure film set in the African forests, with the script penned by Rajamouli’s father, the renowned screenwriter Vijayendra Prasad.
According to new updates, the movie will be a period drama set in the 1800s. Sources from Deccan Chronicle reveal that the film will feature over 200 characters, many of whom will be part of a unique tribal community from that era. The characters will sport distinct, ancient looks, which are currently being finalized.
Mahesh Babu, who is taking on a never-seen-before role in this project, has been undergoing special training sessions and attending acting workshops to perfect his part. Fans are eager to see him in multiple new looks, showcasing a more intense and action-packed side.
While this is Mahesh Babu’s first pan-Indian film, it’s also his debut Hindi-language film. The actor previously avoided dubbing his films in Hindi, but he is excited for this project to reach a wider audience.
However, fans will have to wait a bit longer as Mahesh Babu and SS Rajamouli’s movie production, originally slated for 2023, has been delayed. Shooting is now expected to begin in January 2025, as SS Rajamouli continues refining the script to ensure the best possible outcome.
