She told the filmmaker, “I’ve seen the Mahabharata on stage a couple of times in plays and it’s beautiful, but it was a little boring. But then I saw your film and it wasn’t the Mahabharata but it was, and I thought to myself ‘oh this is what it should be, and how it should be made with the spirit of it should be as exciting as that.”

Replying to her, Rajamouli said, “What I have done here is I would say is minuscule, any-size of what Mahabharata can be.” He added that he would love to make a film on Mahabharata but that would take a lot of time.

He went on to add, “I want to make them bigger, bigger and better. And of course, I want to tell Indian stories to the rest of the world. The Mahabharata (the epic Hindu poem) has been my long, long, long dream project, but it will take a long time for me to step into that ocean. Before I step into Mahabharata I want to make maybe three or four films.”
