Here’s Why Jr. NTR Missed Out On Attending Hollywood Critics Association Awards

NTR's fans tagged HCA on twitter and expressed their displeasure on social media.

Ram Charan and Jr. NTR starrer RRR bagged four awards including Best International Film at prestigious Hollywood Critics Association Awards, in Los Angeles. Film’s director S.S Rajamouli and one of the lead actor Ram Charan went on stage to collect the awards. Pictures of Rajamouli, Keeravani, Ram Charan, Senthil Kumar and Karthikeya posing with the HCA statuettes went viral on social media. But Jr. NTR fans soon noticed his absence from the event.

And it didn’t go down well with certain section of NTR’s fans and they tagged HCA on twitter and expressed their displeasure on social media. Just when it seemed things were getting intense, the HCA issued clarification on NTR’s absence at the HCA Awards night.

Hollywood Critics Association’s statement read: “Dear RRR fans and supporters, We did invite N T Rama Rao Jr. to attend the HCA Film Awards but he is shooting a new film in India. He will be receiving his awards from us shortly. Thank you for all your love and support. Sincerely, The Hollywood Critics Association.”

S.S. Rajamouli’s RRR bagged four awards at the recently held Hollywood Critics’ Awards 2023 – awards for the best international, the best action film, the best song and the best stunts.

Based on the real-life Indian revolutionaries from the pre-Independence era in 1920s, RRR is a fictional story of friendship between Alluri Sitarama Raju (Ram Charan) and Komaram Bheem (Jr NTR).
