Dev Mohan Speaks On Chemistry With Samantha Ruth Prabhu

Malayalam actor Dev Mohan is making his Telugu debut with Shaakuntalam. He is playing the lead role of Dushyant alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the titular role. Dev Mohan and Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently visited Mumbai for the 3D trailer launch event. At the event, Dev Mohan opened up about his chemistry with Samantha. He started off by saying, “I want to thank the big team that is behind Shaakuntalam and for me, it is a dream debut. We shot in Telugu and it is my first pan-India film. I did it with Sam. So, I am so so happy about that. It was a great learning experience.”

Commenting on his chemistry with Samantha, he said, “When you look at her, the chemistry will come, right! She is so pretty.”

He then added, “It was initially very difficult for me to shoot. Telugu is not my mother tongue. She really supported me to get the best. Shaakuntalam is the love story between Dushyant and Shakuntala. So, chemistry is really important in the film. It was very easy to work with her. Her support made me bring the chemistry out.”

Shaakuntalam is a Telugu historical drama film directed by Gunasekhar. It is scheduled for a theatrical release on 14 April 2023.
