Asuran director Vetri Maaran reportedly signs Suriya for his upcoming film

It is speculated that the Asuran director Vetri Maaran has ropped in the the Kaappaan lead actor Suriya. Read on to know more.

Vetri Maaran who directed the super hit film titled Asuran starring Dhanush which not only raked in big bucks but also broke many records at the box office. The director who is riding high on the success of his recent release has is speculated to have brought in the Kaappaan lead actor Suriya. There is a very strong wave in the south film industry that Vetri Maaran wants to have Suriya as the lead star in his upcoming film.

It is also reported that the director met up with a few stars from the South industry and has his eyes set on Suriya. He has also reportedly narrated a story to Bollywood’s King Khan, Shah Rukh Khan and he seems to have loved his script. But there is no official confirmation about the same as of yet, whether or not Shah Rukh Khan will feature in it. On being asked about the same he revealed that he met the Zero actor due to personal reasons and did not divulge any further details. And now fans are left guessing if Shah Rukh will star in a film helmed by Vetri Maaran or not.

He stated, “I’ve narrated scripts to Rajinikanth, Vijay, and Suriya. I tried approaching Ajith long back. Guess, when the time is right, they will call me again. The first round of talks are on with Suriya and Thanu sir but nothing has been confirmed yet.”

Vetri Maaran next film is with Soori for Eldred Kumar’s RS Infotainment, for which he wrote a script based on the late lyricist Na Muthukumar’s Pattamboochi Virapavan. But before ahead with the film, he will soon commence filming for his Netflix anthology featuring Sai Pallavi and Prakash Raj.
