Actress Parvathy Thiruvothu who was seen attending the round table conference slammed the movie, Arjun Reddy, while the actor of the film Vijay Deverakonda sat in front of her. And clearly Deverakonda is not too happy about how people are "celebrating" at his cost. During the International Film Festival of India in Panaji, Goa, he said, "I am very irritated right now. I can't keep it in and I want to take it out. If I will keep it in, it will become a tumour inside me."

During the conference, Parvathy said, "Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh had the visual grammar of glorification, Joker did not. At no point did I look at the character Joaquin (Phoenix) played and think 'Arre yaar, I totally agree with you. You must kill everyone'." She further revealed how after watching a tragedy one can leave it there without being inspired to follow it. But she stated that if we are told that there is no passion in a relationship without slapping each other and on looking at the comments on YouTube where people are not only resonating with it but also engaging, engaging with that in a mob-like manner, she claimed is inciting violence.

Talking about his irritation he said, "I am normally very understanding. I give people the benefit of doubt. I saw that there was a genuine angst and genuine intention behind these questions. But these people don't know what they are talking about." He also further revealed how they are misplaced and didn't mind the quest though. He admitted that he loves Parvathy and also admires her work, but it is the social media and media 'hadavidi that irritates him. He claims people go nuts and don't even know what they are talking about. He further stated, "I dislike that people are celebrating at my cost. That's my issue. I don't care what you think of the film, misogyny or the interview."
