The highly anticipated sequel to Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa: The Rise’ the 2021’s hit film, directed by Sukumar, has faced another delay. ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ was initially slated for release around Independence Day, then rescheduled for December 6, 2024. However, recent comments by lead actress Rashmika Mandanna have left fans uncertain about the new release date.
Rashmika, who captivated audiences with her performance in Allu Arjun’s ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, recently addressed the release date uncertainty. As per Gulte.com, she said, “I’m not sure when it’s coming. We are planning to release on December 6, 2024, but let’s wait for further confirmation.” This statement has caused confusion and disappointment among fans, with one expressing their frustration online, saying, “Again postponed 🔥😢” and the other user said, “Expect the unexpected”.

The delays are reportedly due to several factors, including internal issues between director Sukumar and actor Allu Arjun. Additionally, reports surfaced that Allu Arjun took a break from filming, causing further delays. He is now back in the city to resume shooting and complete the film’s climax. Another contributing factor is Fahadh Faasil, who plays the role of Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat. His absence from the sets has also caused delays in the shooting schedule.
‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ also features Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj and Ajay Ghosh reprising their roles from the previous film. The movie is directed and written by Sukumar under his banner Sukumar Writings and produced by Naveen Yerneni and Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner.
As fans eagerly await the new release date, the anticipation and excitement for ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ continue to build, despite the delays.
