In a surprising turn of events, Telugu superstar Allu Arjun, who is currently basking the massive success of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ which was released December 5, 2024 has now been arrested in connection with the tragic stampede occurred at Sandhya Theatre in Hyderabad on December 4 at midnight during the premiere of his much-anticipated film. This incident led to death of a 39-year-old woman and left her son critically injured.
The Chikkadpally police, who registered the case stated that no prior notice was given about the actor’s presence at the premiere which reportedly caused the chaos. Allu Arjun arrested and was taken into custody on Friday by a team from the Chikkadpally police station.

But in the aftermath, Allu Arjun did extended financial support to the affected family by offering help with ₹25 lakh donation as a gesture of support. He also promised to cover the medical expenses for the injured son and continue to support the family in the future too. In a video message, Pushpa actor said in a statement that “Nothing we do can bring back the loss. But I want to assure you that we are here for you emotionally and financially”.
