RGV Questions Accountability for Stampedes
RGV took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to voice his concerns about holding celebrities accountable for crowd mismanagement. In his post, he questioned the logic behind such decisions. He wrote,

1. In case of stampedes at places like kumbh melas or brahmostavas, will Gods be arrested?
2. In case of stampede deaths at political meetings or rallies, will political leaders be arrested?
3. In case of stampede deaths at public film events, will the heroes and heroines be arrested?
4. Except for police and organisers, who else can possibly control stampedes?”

He further criticized the public’s tendency to blame the actor and described the Allu Arjun arrest as unnecessary. Amid the controversy, the Telangana High Court granted Allu Arjun interim bail, observing that he had attended the event with prior permission. Following the tragic event, authorities in Telangana have banned benefit shows. Reacting to the ban, RGV noted, “Banning BENEFIT SHOWS due to the incident cannot be an answer. There was a time when benefit shows were for charity. Now, they’ve lost that meaning entirely.”
