Telugu industry superstar and Mahesh Babu’s father Krishna Ghattamaneni passed away in Hyderabad on 15 November after suffering a cardiac arrest. As per the reports, the veteran actor was admitted to the Continental Hospitals in Hyderabad where his condition was stated to be critical. Mourning the loss many celebrities from the South industry have now shared condolences to the family.
Actor Krishna, Mahesh Babu’s Father Passes Away At 80
Veteran Telugu actor Krishna who is also the father of actor Mahesh Babu passed away on Tuesday after suffering a cardiac arrest. Krishna was bought to the emergency department of a hospital in Hyderabad at 1.15 am on Monday. Soon after which the actor was given CPR and was shifted to the ICU by the doctors. The actor took his last breath on Tuesday around 4 AM.
Mourning the loss many actors and celebs from the South industry shared condolences to the family. South superstar Rajinikanth who has worked with the late actor in almost 3 films tweeted, “The demise of Krishna garu is a great loss to the Telugu film industry … working with him in 3 films are memories i will always cherish. My heartfelt condolences to his family …may his soul rest in peace @urstrulyMahesh,”
Apart from Rajinikanth, actor Nagarjuna tweeted, “A Fearless man who attempted every genre!! The original cowboy of Telugu films!! I could sit with him for hours which were filled with his positivity the man the legend the superstar!!#RIPSuperStarKrishnaGaru we will miss you,”.
RRR actor Jr NTR tweeted, “Deeply saddened by the passing away of Indira Devi Garu. Deepest condolences to Krishna garu, Mahesh anna and family in this time of grief.”
Actor Kamal Haasan also offered his condolences, and tweeted, “An icon of Telugu cinema Krishna gaaru is no more, an era ends with his demise. I wish to share the grief of brother @urstrulyMahesh who has to bear this third emotional trauma of losing a mother, brother and now his father. My deepest condolence dear Mahesh gaaru,”
About Krishna
Krishna Ghattamanen was a well-known name in the Tollywood industry. The actor spent decades working in the industry in almost 350 films. Apart from acting Krishna also produced and directed many films. He was honored with the Padma Bhushan in 2009. Some of the most notable works of the actor remain his films like Bangaaru Bhoomi, Sakthi, and many others.
Krishna was survived by his son and actor Mahesh babu, and daughters Padmavathi, Manjula, and Priyadarshini. Krishna’s wife Indira Devi passed away this year in September, while his elder son Ramesh Babu also passed away this year in January. It was believed that Krishna was deeply affected by the tragic demise of his son Ramesh and wife Indira Devi.
