Vijay and Lokesh Kangaraj’s Thalapathy 67 is the most awaited upcoming project of the Tamil film industry right now. The film has been the most trending topic among cinegoers since it’s announcement. The film, which was tentatively titled Thalapathy 67 has finally got an official title. The film’s title has been revealed to be ‘Leo’. Along with a film’s title, makers also revealed the film’s release date in a new promo. The film will be releasing in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Kannada on October 19, 2023.
The almost three minutes long promo reminisces of Lokesh’s previous release Vikram (2022). The promo begins with preparing varieties of chocolate. The sequence is intercut with the actor making a sword and few battalion of cars reaching his home. The clip ends with Vijay wielding a sword dripping with chocolate. Anirudh Ravichander’s music elevates the whole promo to another level.
Although the promo doesn’t reveal if ‘Leo’ is going to be part of LCU (Lokesh Cinematic Universe), it does remind you of the Vikram’s promo, which was part of LCU.
The action thriller, which marks the second collaboration of Thalapathy Vijay and director Lokesh Kanagaraj after the massive success of Master (2021), was officially announced few days ago. The film will also see Vijay joining hands with Trisha after a gap of 14 years. The film also marks Sanjay Dutt’s debut in Tamil cinema.
Expectations for LEO have already shot up after this title promo announcement. The film also features Arjun Sarja, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mysskin, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mathew Thomas, Priya Anand.
