Thalapathy Vijay’s latest film, The GOAT (The Greatest of All Time), has made a significant impact at the box office, grossing over Rs. 440 crores worldwide. Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film performed exceptionally well in Tamil Nadu, earning more than Rs. 210 crores. Although it didn’t meet expectations in regions like the Telugu states and Kerala, it still achieved blockbuster status, especially in international markets.
Fans of The GOAT have reason to celebrate as Netflix has announced the film’s streaming release date. Starting October 3rd, viewers can watch The GOAT in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada. This announcement comes just four weeks after its theatrical debut on September 5th, giving fans a chance to enjoy the film from the comfort of their homes.
Netflix India shared the release date on social media, posting a vibrant poster with the caption, “Ever seen a lion become a G.O.A.T?! Thalapathy Vijay’s The G.O.A.T- The Greatest Of All Time is coming to Netflix on 3 October in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada & Hindi #TheGOATOnNetflix”. This has generated excitement among those who missed its theatrical run.
In The GOAT, Vijay takes on a dual role, showcasing his versatility as an actor. The film features a talented supporting cast, including Meenakshi Chaudhary, Prabhudeva, Jayaram, Mohan and more. Produced by AGS Entertainment, the film’s music was composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, adding to its appeal.
Despite some regions underperforming, the film has had a successful theatrical run, recently celebrating 25 days in theaters. Director Venkat Prabhu took to X to thank fans for their support, saying, “God is kind!!! Thanks to each and everyone of you who made our #GOAT #TheGreatestOfAllTime a Mega BLOCKBUSTER”.
As The GOAT prepares for its OTT debut, Vijay is also working on his 69th feature film, which is expected to release next year. Fans are looking forward to seeing what he has in store next.
