The Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) had imposed a ban on Dhanush in July 2024, halting his participation in new film projects. The decision came after complaints from Thenandal Films and Five Star Creations, accusing Dhanush of taking advance payments but failing to deliver films. This ban, or red card, meant producers were advised to consult the TFPC before signing him for any new projects.
However, recent reports from Asianet News confirm that the red card against Dhanush has now been lifted. After discussions, Dhanush assured the council that he would settle all disputes amicably and honor his previous commitments. As per News18, Dhanush has promised to return the advance he received from Five Star Creations with interest and agreed to work on a new project with Thenandal Films to settle the dues.
The issue between Dhanush and the two production houses has now been resolved under these conditions. This resolution allowed the TFPC to revoke Dhanush’s red card, enabling him to resume his film work.
In terms of upcoming projects, Dhanush is gearing up for his highly anticipated film Kubera, directed by Sekhar Kammula, which will feature Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Bollywood actor Jim Sarbh. Additionally, Dhanush will produce and direct his own film titled Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam.
This resolution brings relief to Dhanush and his fans, allowing the actor to focus on his forthcoming projects. Dhanush’s commitment to settle the disputes with the production houses has helped him regain his place in the industry, clearing the path for his future films.
