Kenishaa had recently found herself entangled in rumors surrounding Tamil actor Jayam Ravi’s marriage to his wife, Aarti. The controversy gained widespread attention after Suchitra accused Kenishaa of practicing Ayahuasca, a plant-based psychedelic, without a proper license. Suchitra had publicly criticized her in a now-deleted video, referring to Kenishaa as an “underworld singer” and accusing her of being an unlicensed practitioner.

Reflecting on the situation, Suchitra also opened up about her own past experiences, particularly how she had felt manipulated in similar circumstances during her own divorce. She added, “I must add that I hate being manipulated and if I don’t have parents who can slap them for it, I recede and go quiet. Of all the manipulations I have dealt with, the coldness of this one has left me stunned. I myself have an Ex who did this to me – discredit me through an emo video, labelling me before I had a chance to defend myself – getting the entire TN to his side in the divorce. At least he put his face on the video and said it himself.”
