Indian 2 Shooting Update: Kamal Haasan and filmmaker Shankar are set reunite again for the biggest film of their career ‘Indian 2’. The sequel to to their yesteryear classic Indian (1996) has already created a lot of buzz since it’s announcement and now Shankar has dropped another big update about the film. Indian 2 team has begun the shoot of their month-long schedule in Chennai.
Today morning filmmaker shared the BTS picture from the film’s set to announce the commencement of the shoot.
According to latest reports, the crew will shoot for 30 days continuously, which will be the longest schedule of the film. Indian 2 was first announced in 2017 and film’s shoot began in 2019.
About Indian 2: Indian 2 is a sequel to Shankar’s 1996 classic of the same name. It starred Kamal Haasan in the role of an old vigilante and freedom fighter who decides to finish the corruption of the state by taking law in his hand. The film shared the problem of corruption in government departments and shows how vigilante justice is served by a old man. It was a huge box office hit and earned the cult classic status over the years.
Along with Kamal Haasan, the sequel will also star Kajal Aggarawal, Rakul Preet Singh, Siddharth, Gulshan Grover and Priya Bhavani Shankar. Produced by Lyca Productions, the film’s music has been composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Much like the first part, Indian 2 will also be a Pan India release in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam, and Kannada.
