Rocketry: The Nambi Effect Day 2: Film Sees Massive Growth At Theatres

Rocketry: The Nambi Effect Day 2: R Madhavan’s recently released biographical drama film hit the theatres on 1st July 2022. On the very first day, the film opened up to a good response from the audience. Meanwhile, on its 2nd day, the film witnessed a jump at the box office. After an average opening day at the box office, R Madhavan’s film Rocketry: The Nambi Effect has seen almost double growth at the box office on its second day making ₹1.3 crores taking the film towards a total of almost 2 crores now. However, according to the early predictions, the film is expected to grow even more on Sunday.

According to reports, “Rocketry double up on Saturday from a very low starting point on Friday. The film has caught up Rashtra Kavach Om on Saturday and its two-day collections are around ₹2 crore net.” According to some reports, the film was always expected to open low and grow by word of mouth, similar to The Kashmir Files, which had a slow start but managed to gross over ₹300 crores by the end of its run.

Meanwhile, Kashmir Files director, Vivek Agnihotri earlier responded to the predictions made by trade analysts and reports. He took to his Twitter account and wrote, “From the bottom of my heart, I wish this happens and I am sure it will happen because @ActorMadhavan is one of the most honest actor. For those who don’t know he was one of the finest debaters and a true patriot.” While it is believed that the film will gain momentum and success with word of mouth just as The Kashmir Files did.

On the other hand, R Madhavan’s film ‘Rocketry: The Nambi Effect’, features the story of former ISRO scientist Nambi Narayanan, who was falsely charged with espionage in 1994. The film chronicles Nambi Narayanan’s early days as a graduate student at Princeton University, before exploring his work as a scientist and the espionage allegations against him. R Madhavan directed Rocketry The Nambi Effect was shot simultaneously in Hindi, Tamil, and English. Meanwhile, for the film actor Madhavan donned a director’s hat for the first time, interestingly he also wrote the story, produced, and acted in the film. The film is also dubbed in Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
