Kamal Hassan’s Ungal Naan, celebrating 60 years of Haasan in Indian Cinema, was attended by various biggies from the Tamil film. Actors such as superstar Rajinikanth, Vijay Sethupathi, Tamannaah Bhatia, SP Muthuraman, Mani Ratnam, Karthi, directors KS Ravikumar, Shankar, PA Ranjith and more attended the event on November 17. The event was kick-started with Maestro Ilaiyaraaja’s inaugural song Janani Janani also AR Rahman honoured Kamal Haasan and Ilaiyaraaja as he arrived at the event. But we just cannot get enough of Rajinikanth and Vijay Sethupathi.

Both Rajinikanth and Vijay Sethupathi received a grand welcome and had the crowd screaming and cheering on, on their arrival. Rajinikanth who also happens to be a very old friend of Kamal Haasan was seen walking on the stage towards the end of the show and shared a few words. He said, “His is from a very reputed family, of well educated, well-respected people. Coming from such a family, when Kamal worked in saloons and as dance assistant, one can only imagine the mental stress it may have created for him and in his father’s mind when his family found out.”
Even Kamal Haasan’s daughter Shruti Haasan and Akshara Haasan were also seen performing on stage at their fathers Ungal Naan.
