RaayanBoxOffice: Directed by Dhanush, the eagerly awaited Tamil action-thriller Raayan premiered in theaters on July 26. Starring Dhanush, S.J. Suryah, and a talented ensemble cast, the film received positive reviews and achieved a notable box office opening. The movie performed exceptionally well over the weekend, surpassing the 40 crore mark. However, after the impressive growth over the weekend, Raayan experienced a substantial drop in earnings on Monday.

As per Sacnilk, Dhanush’s film, Raayan registered a blockbuster opening worth ₹ 13.65 Cr. Keeping steady the film earned another ₹ 13.75 Cr on Saturday and ₹ 15.25 Cr on Sunday. However, after a steady growth through the weekend, the film witnessed a sharp decline on Monday earning only ₹ 5.25 Cr.
The Tamil action thriller, Raayan now stands at a domestic box office total of ₹ 47.90 Cr. The film is expected to cross the 50Cr mark by the end of Tuesday. Compared to several recently released films like Bad Newz and others, Raayan is performing considerably well at the box office.
Raayan Plot
Raayan (Dhanush), the eldest of four siblings, takes care of his brothers and sister after their parents disappear. In their Tamil Nadu town, gangsters Sekar (SJ Suryah) and Saravanan maintain a fragile peace. When a new police commissioner (Prakash Raj) arrives, he disrupts this balance, exposing the gangs’ secrets. Raayan, who runs a small food stall, gets dragged into the ensuing gang war after an incident shakes their happy life. The story follows Raayan’s struggle in this dangerous conflict.
