Popular Tamil actor and director Manobala passed away today in Chennai. He was 69. Manobala had been suffering from liver problems and had earlier underwent through an angio treatment this year.
Manobala who had been receiving treatment for his health at his home in Saligramam, breathed his last at his residence. The late director and actor is survived by his wife Usha and his son Harish.
While mourning the loss many fans of the actor-director took to Instagram to share their condolences to his family. Actor Gautham Karthik offered his condolences to Manobala’s family and tweeted, “Heartbreaking to hear that Director/Actor #Manobala sir is no longer with us. Was a true pleasure to work with you sir! You will be surely missed! Condolences to family, friends and loved ones…”
Actor Manoj Manchu also shared his condolences and tweeted, “Sad to hear the sudden passing away of the Multi faceted actor #Manobala sir May his soul rest in peace, Om Shanti Strength to family members & friends.”
For the unversed, Manobala made his debut in the Tamil industry as an actor and as an assistant director in the year 1979 with “Puthiya Vaarpugal”. Some of his famous works include Pillai Nilla, Oorkavalan, En Purushanthaan Enakku Mattumthaan, and more.
