Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus has now completed a whole week at the theatres and has now emerged as one of the highest-grossing films in Tamil Nadu. The multi-starrer film opened up to great numbers at the box office on its opening day. On Day 1, PS 1 earned Rs 78 crore globally. On the second day, the film crossed Rs 150 crore earning worldwide. On the first weekend, PS 1 reached a collection of Rs 230 crores.

The film later grossed a total of 20crores on Monday, while as per the latest trade reports it is now believed that the film has now gone past the 300crore mark with its worldwide collection and is inching closer to enter the 350cr club now. According to trade reports, Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus has earned a total of approx Rs 11.50 crore on its seventh day in India in all languages. The film now stands on a domestic total of about 172 crores. While the international collections of the film have broken all the records, the film has minted over £ 1 Million in the UK.
