Ponniyin Selvan: Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan is just a day ahead of its release. The big-budget multi-starrer pan-Indian film will be released in the theatres on 30th September. While as per the latest reports it is now believed that the film is expected to have a bumper opening at the box office.
Ponniyin Selvan Advance Booking
As per a Hindustan Times report, Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus, Ponniyin Selvan has recorded great advance bookings with many houseful shows, as per the report the film has already sold tickets worth Rs 10crores. Meanwhile, the dubbed versions of the shows have recorded a collection of Rs 1crore and the film now stands on a total of 11crores with its advance booking collections only.
Trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to his Twitter account on Tuesday and wrote, “#PonniyinSelvan is the Best selling Tamil Novel for decades. It’s a 5-part series that is epic from first to last page. Dir #ManiRatnam has condensed 5 parts into 2 parts taking the best of the best portions. Tamils in TN and Overseas are not waiting for any reviews.”
Meanwhile, the film is also showing a positive response at the international box office. As per the Hindustan Times report, the total advance booking figures of Ponniyin Selvan globally are already within touching distance of ₹20 crores and may even reach ₹25 crores by the end of the day.
