Netflix Bags Digital Rights Of Vijay, Trisha’s Thalapathy67

The digital rights of Thalapathy67 have been bought by Netflix at whooping sum.

Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s upcoming action thriller Thalapathy67 is one of the hottest topic in Tamil cinema this week after makers makers made an official announcement about the project and film’s cast. Now with several big updates out already, the makers have revealed one more update about the film. The digital rights of Thalapathy67 have been bought by Netflix at whooping sum.

Announcing the news, film’s production house, 7star Studio tweeted, “Tudum, Our gang has a new member ? And that is @NetflixIndia, our official digital partner of #Thalapathy67 ?


Thalapathy67’s satelitte rights have been bought by SunTV. Announcing the news, SunTV’s twitter handle tweeted, “We are happy to announce that we have acquired the satellite rights for @actorvijay’s #Thalapathy67 directed by @Dir_Lokesh!

It is being reported that the OTT rights for Thalapathy 67 have been snapped up by Netflix for Rs 120 crore and the satellite rights have been bought by Sun TV for Rs 80 crore.

Thalapathy67 is the second collaboration of Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj after their previous blockbuster Master (2021). The film also marks the big screen reunion of Vijay and Trisha after 14 years. They last worked together in Kuruvi (2008).

The film also marks Sanjay Dutt’s foray into Tamil cinema. The film also stars Arjun Sarja, Priya Anand, Sandy, George Maryan, Mysskin, and Mansoor Ali Khan.
