Janhvi Kapoor is gearing up for her upcoming movie Good Luck Jerry. Ever since the trailer was released the movie is creating a buzz among her fans as she is essaying a different character than before. The con-medy movie is a remake of the Tamil film ‘Kolamaavu kokila’ that stars Nayanthara. The young talented actor Janhvi Kapoor received praises from Nayanthara for Good Luck Jerry.
Talking about Janhvi in the movie, Nayanthara said, “Kokila is so close to my heart and watching the Good Luck Jerry trailer brings me so much joy, what an entertaining ride the audience is in for, there couldn’t have been a better Jerry! GoodLuck Jahnvi!”
Nayanthara appreciated the Hindi version – Kokila played by Janhvi Kapoor. For the unversed Kokila is the protagonist in the original film headlined by lady superstar Nayanthara. Kolamaavu kokila is 2018 black comedy crime film starring Nayanthara. The lead character Kokila gets involved in a drug racket to earn easy and quick money as she faces financial issues. The original Tamil film is directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and produced by Lyca Productions.
The Hindi version, Good Luck Jerry is directed by Siddharth Sen and produced by Aanand L Rai’s Colour Yellow Productions, Lyca Productions, and Mahaveer Jain. The film is arriving in theaters on July 29, 2022.
Like other south actors, Nayanthara is also set to make her Bollywood debut. She will be featured opposite Badshah of Bollywood – Shah Rukh Khan in Atlee’s directorial Jawan. The actioner is a pan-India film scheduled to release next year in June. In South, she has Godfather alongside Mohan Raja and Chiranjeevi.
