Karthi starrer Kaithi as managed to win over the audiences as the film enters the Rs 100 crore club. Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Kaithi, that stars Karthi was released alongside Vijay‘s Bigil on October 25th and is not only doing well domestically but internationally as well. According to trade reports the film has collected Rs 100 crores and it is also the first film of Karthi to do so.
Trade Analyst Ramesh Bala took to Twitter to announce the same. He wrote, ”#Kaithi has done ₹ 100 Crs Gross at the WW Box Office…First movie of @Karthi_Offl to do so.. Congrats @Karthi_Offl, @Dir_Lokesh, @prabhu_sr, @SamCSmusic and Team! #Kaithi100CrsBBWW.”

Kaithi did well not only on the weekends but has also been equally adept at fetching good numbers on the weekdays too. The story revolves around a prisoner who is on his way to meet his daughter for the first time, is enlisted by a cop to protect a group of policemen from goons. The film gets intense as he has a face-off between cops and drug lords. Karthi’s performance in this film is just phenomenal and has also been praised for the same.
Following the success, Karthi took to Twitter to thank his fans for all the appreciation and wrote, “I don’t know if I can thank you all enough for the amount of love and appreciation you have given for Kaithi. We set out to present an exciting story and our team put their heart into it. But we never expected such an overwhelming response. I take a big bow with gratitude.”
