Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia Deshmukh starrer Marathi romantic drama Ved, which arrived in theatres on December 30, 2022, has continued its dream run at the box office in the second week.
As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film has amassed 20.18 crores in second week. The film had minted Rs. 20.67 crores, which takes its total box office collection to Rs 40.85 crores.
This is the second biggest two weeks collection for any Marathi film after Sairat (2016).The film will today take over Nana Patekar starrer Natsamrat (2016), as the second highest grosser Marathi movie of all time.
Seeing such a minimal drop in collection, we can safely assume that Ved will cross the Rs. 50 crores milestone before the third week comes to close.
About Ved:Ved is an official remake of Telugu film Majili (2019), which incidentally also starred real life couple Samantha Ruth Prabhu-Naga Chaitanya. The film is receiving a huge praise from the audience for Riteish and Genelia’s immaculate chemistry. Along with Riteish-Genelia, Ved also stars Ashok Saraf, Jiya Shankar and Shubhankar Tawde in pivotal roles.
