Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia Deshmukh’s ‘Ved’ Crosses Rs 50 Crore Mark At The Box Office

Ved is now the second Marathi film to cross this benchmark only behind Sairat (2016).

Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia Deshmukh’s ‘Ved’ has crossed Rs 50 crores nett at Indian box office, within three weeks of its release. The film was released in cinemas on December 30, 2022, and it has been performing extremely well at the box office since its release.

The actor, who also made his directorial debut with Ved, has now expressed gratitude to everyone on Twitter. While sharing the box office figure on Twitter, he wrote, “We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts, for accepting VED as your own film and showering unconditional love. #50cr #50crores”.

What makes this achievement even more special is that, Ved has now become the only second Marathi film to cross this mark after Sairat (2016). Despite mul;tiple releases in Marathi as well as Hindi, Ved has still remained the first choice of filmgoers in Maharashtra. And the romantic drama will have an uninterrupted run in cinemas till the release of Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan on January 25.

Meanwhile, on the work front, after the humongous success of Ved, Riteish Deshmukh will next be seen in Kakuda, directed by Aditya Sarpotdar where he will be seen sharing a screen space with Sonakshi Sinha and Saqib Saleem. He will also be seen with Fardeen Khan in horror thriller Visfot.
