Anand L Rai Celebrates Women’s Day With The Cast Of Marathi Film Jhimma 2

The film will arrive in cinemas October 24, 2023.

Acclaimed director Anand L. Rai who is also known for producing out of the box unique projects under his production house Yellow Productions, recently announced his foray into Marathi cinema by associating himself as co- producer for actor-director Hemant Dhome’s recently announced sequel of his hit film ‘Jhimma (2021).

Now Anand L Rai celebrated International Women’s Day with the team of ‘Jhimma 2’. Siddharth Chandekar who also plays an important role in the film, shared a special picture on his Instagram with the rest of the cast. On this occasion, Suhas Joshi, Nirvana Sawant, Suchitra Bandekar, Kshithi Jog, Irawati Karnik, Siddharth Chandekar, Saili Sanjeev, Hemant Dhome were also present.

Speaking about celebrating Women’s Day with Jhimma 2 team, Anand L. Rai, said, “There can be no better day than Women’s Day to meet super talented women artists. The first part was one of the highest grossing films of 2021 and I look forward to promoting regional cinema in a big way.”

Hemant Dhome is also excited to have Anand L Rai on board as a co-producer, “I am delighted to celebrate International Women’s Day with the talented star cast of Jhimma. The first part was a huge success. For the second part, we are joined by Anand L. Rai and I’m sure ‘Jhimma 2’ will also get lots of love.”

Dhome announced the second part through a special video which is a recreation of a popular scene from the first part of the franchise.

The first part was about 7 women from different age groups and different socio -cultural backgrounds coming together on a vacation to the Great Britain with a tour company for 10 days.

Jhimma 2 is written by Irawarti Karnik and stars Sonalee Kulkarni, Sayali Sanjeev, Nirmiti Sawant, Kshitee Jog, Mrinmayee Godbole, Siddharth Chandekar and Hemant Dhome. The film will arrive in cinemas October 24, 2023.
