Tragic news has struck the entertainment world as Shobhitha Shivanna, a well-known Kannada actress was found dead at her residence in Hyderabad. Shobhitha, known for her roles in popular TV serials like Gaalipata and Mangala Gowri, reportedly passed away at her home in Kondapur under the Gachibowli police station area.

The incident came to light on Sunday, December 1 when authorities discovered Shobhitha Shivanna in her residence. According to the police officials, she “allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself”. Soon after her body was sent to Gandhi Hospital for a post-mortem examination and further details about the circumstances are awaited. A case has been registered and an investigation is ongoing.

Who Was Shobhitha Shivanna?

Born on September 23, 1992 in Bengaluru, Shobhitha Shivanna began her career in the entertainment industry with TV serials such as Gaalipata and Mangala Gowri. Hailing from Sakleshpur in the Hassan district of Karnataka, she pursued a degree in fashion design at the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).

Despite her academic background in design, Shobhitha’s passion for acting led her to pursue acting in Kannada television and cinema who went on to appeared in several films including Eradondla Mooru, ATM: Attempt to Murder, Ondh Kathe Hella, Jackpot and Vandana. Shobhitha was also a familiar face in TV shows like Gaalipata, Mangala Gowri, Kogile, Brahmagantu and Krishna Rukmini.

As per reports in Telugu Cinema, Shobhitha had been living in Hyderabad for the past two years with her husband Sudheer.
