Rishab Shetty’s Kantara 2 To Go On Floors In June, Script Finalized

The sequel of Rishab Shetty's film "Kantara" is on cards. The scripting of the film is now done and an official announcement will be made soon.

Kantara 2: Rishab Shetty’s blockbuster hit film, “Kantara” is on its way to get its sequel. As per the reports, the script for the second installment of the film is finalized and an official announcement will be made by the makers soon enough.

After the massive success of Kantara, makers are now working on the second installment of the film. As per a portal, Rishab Shetty, the actor and director of the film, Kantara has been making trips around different locations and has been working on the script for the second installment of Kantara.

For the unversed, Rishab Shetty’s Kantara was a huge box office success. Soon after its release the film broke several box-office records and became one of the highest-grossing films in the Kannada film industry. Reportedly the film earned around 500cr worldwide at the box office.

After making an impressive run at the box office the film was recently screened at the United Nations in Geneva in March this year. Delivering a speech at UNHRC the actor addressed the need for environmental sustainability.

Sharing the same he wrote on Twitter, “Proud to represent ECO FAWN in submitting Oral Statement at UNHRC. The significance in the promotion of cultural rights of forest dwellers and protection of forests in Kantara is deciphered at the international forum.”

All About Rishab Shetty’s Film Kantara

Rishab Shetty’s film Kantara is based on the Karnataka annual festivals, Bhoota Kola and Kambala. The film is based on folklore, a story of a conflict between humans and nature. The story revolves around “Bhoota” who trades forest land with King in exchange for happiness later King’s son grows up to become a greedy person and claims back the land. The action-adventure film stars Rishab Shetty, Sapthami Gowda, Kishore Kumar G, Achyuth Kumar, and Pramod Shetty in key roles.

The film was released in theatres on 30th September, 2022. It is now streaming on Amazon Prime video.
