Kantara Box Office Collection Day 3: Film Crosses 100cr Mark Globally

The Hindi version of Rishab Shetty's film Kantara was released on 14th October. Here’s how much the film earned on its 1st weekend at the box office-

Kantara Box Office Collection: The Hindi version of Rishab Shetty’s film Kantara was released on 14th October. The Sandalwood film has been doing exceptionally well since its release, as per the reports it is now believed that the film has earned more than 10cr during its first weekend and has now crossed the 200cr mark with its worldwide collections. Here’s how much Rishab Shetty’s film Kantara earned on its 1st weekend at the box office-

Kantara is a Kannada film, which is based on the Karnataka annual festivals, Bhoota Kola and Kambala. The action-adventure film stars Rishab Shetty, Sapthami Gowda, Kishore Kumar G, Achyuth Kumar, and Pramod Shetty in key roles. The film is based on a story of a conflict between humans and nature.

For the unversed, the original Kannada version of Kantara was released on 30th September alongside Mani Ratnam’s film PS-1. Meanwhile, the Hindi version of the Kannada film was released alongside Ayushmann Khurrana’s film Doctor G and Parineeti Chopra starrer Code Name Tiranga. While both Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra’s films are struggling to score decent earnings, Kantara on the other hand has been doing exceptionally well at the box office.

As per a Bollywood Hungama report, the film managed to earn in the range of Rs 1.25 to 1.50 crore on its opening day in the Hindi market. However, the film has now registered great earnings during its first weekend, as per the trade reports, the weekend day collections of the film are higher than its opening, the film has collected a total of approx 2.25-2.50 cr on Saturday and ₹4.2 crores on Sunday. It is also reported that the film has now crossed the 100cr mark with its worldwide box office collection.

About Kantara

Kantara is a Kannada film that was originally released on 30 September alongside Mani Ratnam’s film Ponniyin Selvan. However, the Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam version of the movie was released on 14 October, alongside Ayushmann Khurrana’s film Doctor G and Parineeti Chopra’s film Code Name Tiranga. The film is directed and written by Rishab Shetty who also essays the lead role in the film. Apart from him the film also stars Sapthami Gowda, Kishore Kumar G, Achyuth Kumar, and Pramod Shetty in key roles.
