Raveena Tandon, the Bollywood sensation will be seen playing a pivotal role in the much-awaited Kannada film KGF: Chapter 2. The pan India casting in the upcoming film has got the audience excited more than ever.
During a recent press conference held in Navi Mumbai, director Prashanth was asked what prompted him to cast a Bollywood actress in a Kannada film. He revealed, “When we started planning for KGF: Chapter 2, we wanted somebody who was very powerful for the role of Prime Minister. I wanted somebody who was proper Hindi speaking and somebody who was massy. And we found the best mass Prime Minister that you’ll probably get to see on screen.”
Elaborating further on her casting, Raveena Tandon told, “I met Prashanth when KGF: Chapter 1 was in its final stage. I had already heard a lot about the first part from Ritesh, Farhan and Anil that not doing KGF 2 wasn’t an option anymore. I had to be a part of this. So, I was very happy and excited to get this role. Working with Prashanth and a team like this is a dream come true for any artist.”
KGF: Chapter 2 is scheduled for a theatrical release on April 14.
