Here’s why Kannada actor Rakshit Shetty missed an oppotunity to work in Rajinikanth’s Darbar

Rakshit Shetty in his recent interview opened up about being offered a pivotal role in AR Murugadoss directed Darbar, starring Rajinikanth, but he gave up on it due to THIS reason. Read on.

Kannada actor Rakshit Shetty who was offered a key role in Rajinikanth’s Darbar missed on this opportunity due to his work commitments. In his interview, he revealed that as he was busy with his upcoming multilingual fantasy thriller, Avane Srimannarayana he had to decline the role. Further talking about it he stated that he regrets missing an opportunity to work with Rajinikanth but how he wishes they collaborate soon.

However, Rakshit’s Avane Srimannarayana is set to release in December. His film is set in the 70’s and the 80’s nad two over two years just to make it. It is also dubbed in in five languages – Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam. Apart from being helmed by director Sachin Ravi it also stars popular actors Balaji Manohar, Achyuth Kumar, Pramod Shetty, and many others in pivotal roles.

Rajinikanth’s Darbar will hit theatres by Pongal next year and this will be his first film where he will return as a cop after 25 years. He last played the role of a cop in the Tamil film, Pandian. Darbar will also be dubbed in Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam. Darbar also marks the maiden collaboration of Rajinikanth and Murugadoss. Murugadoss in his recent interview spoke about how fans are looking forward to seeing Rajinikanth in his charismatic avatar. But currently, Rajinikanth is working on his next yet-untitled Tamil project with director Siva. The film is rumoured to be titled as Viyoogam and is said to star Keerthy Suresh and Jyotika as the female leads in the film.
