Kannada superstar Dr Shiva Rajkumar has shared a heartfelt message, announcing that he is officially cancer-free. The actor revealed that he underwent successful surgery for gall bladder cancer at Miami Cancer Institute, USA on December 24, 2024. In an Instagram video, he reflected on his journey and expressed immense gratitude to fans, family and his medical team for their unwavering support.
In the emotional video shared on social media he said, “Namaskar and wish you a Happy New Year. It’s not easy to talk about my health journey. I was scared even before the diagnosis, but the prayers of my fans and support from my loved ones gave me strength. When I went to Miami for treatment, I was still scared, but everyone stood by me.”
Dr Shiva Rajkumar detailed how his wife Geetha and close friends played a crucial role in his recovery. “My cousin, wife Geetha, Prashant, my friend Anu, and Madhu Bangarappa took great care of me. Doctors, especially Dr Shashidhar, and the entire staff at the Miami Cancer Center were extremely supportive,” he added.
Geetha also shared her gratitude, saying, “We were anxiously waiting for the pathology report, and now it’s confirmed that he is cancer-free. Thank you all for your prayers and blessings.”
