Team India spinner Yuzvendra Chahal no wonder has emerged as an MVP player. The 30-year old is slowly getting back to his routine amid the on-going pandemic. He is currently staying at his home in Haryana and he also gets up early in the morning and goes to nearby ground, places stumps, and starts bowling practice.
During the practice session, he prefers to bowl four to five overs and then does his regular exercise. The bowler is increasing the number of overs he bowls in a day to get back into the groove after three-and-a-half-months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
During the interaction, Yuzi said that he thinks that Indian cricketers are short on most is stamina, as everyone has been at home for a while. He added that when one goes under the sun and plays, it will be challenging because their bodies are not used to it right now. The spinner believes that it may take about two weeks for a player to get into the groove.

Yuzi mentioned that he has been in touch with team India’s fielding coach R Sridhar and other trainers. They have chalked out some training modules for him to follow that he follows at home.
Yuzvendra Chahal also expressed his desire to play Test cricket for India. For the unversed, Chahal made his International debut in June 2016, and since then he has played 52 ODIs and 42 T20Is. The leg spinner alongside Kuldeep Yadav has scrapped 91 ODI wickets and 50 T20I wickets in his cricketing career so far.
With team India scheduled to tour Australia for four-match Test series later this year along with some limited over series, Chahal will be an automatic choice for the latter format of the game. Yuzi has cemented his place in the squad for limited-overs cricket, and now he wants to bowl the red cherry down under.
Speaking of the same, Yuzvendra said that whatever opportunity comes his way, he will love to grab it. He also added that Test cricket requires a lot of patience, and he believes that he has that patience and composure required to play the longest format of the game.
The leg-spinner looked confident when made the statement and we hope that he gets a chance to play Test cricket soon.
