Prince Philip, Husband Of Queen Elizabeth II Passes Away

Prince Philip, husband of Queen Elizabeth ll has passed away at the age of 99.

Prince Philip, husband of the Queen of England passed away on Friday at the age of 99. Buckingham Palace has confirmed the news of his demise.

The Royal Palace Twitter account posted, “It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen has announced the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. His Royal Highness passed away peacefully this morning at Windsor Castle.”

Prince Philip, Duke Of Edinburgh was born into the royal families of Greece and Denmark in 1921. He married then Princess Elizabeth in 1947 and served the Royal Navy till 1952 until Princess Elizabeth took over the throne.

He then devoted himself to supporting her work and retired from public services in 2017. Prince Philip and Queen Elizabeth II had marked their 73rd wedding anniversary in November 2020. Prince Philip was by the Queen’s side for nearly eight decades.
