President Elect Biden’s Plagiarism Victim Celebrates His Victory

The US elections have concluded and the verdict is out. Joe Biden will be moving to the White House.

President Elect Biden’s 1988 plagiarism victim has come out to celebrate his victory. Joe Biden along with Kamala Harris won the US 2020 elections. Biden beat out incumbent Donald Trump to be the President of the United States.

Neil Kinnock is a former leader of Britain’s main opposition party. Kinnock reportedly said that Biden has qualities that include wise, adult calm. He feels that will ensure great service to the USA and the world in general.

“He’s got a hell of a tough task in the present conditions of crisis,” Kinnock, who also served in the European Union’s executive commission, said in an email.

“But he’s a truly tough guy, and you can tell that because he just gets on with the job and doesn’t boastfully proclaim his toughness continually like the last fellow — what’s his name?”

While speculations are rife that Joe Biden’s White House will likely be less friendly with the UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson, Kinnock feels different.

Kinnock said Biden would “re-establish a relationship of mutual trust with the EU, value a civil association with the UK without being effusive, and show firmness in dealings with China”.

He added that Russian President Vladimir “Putin, meanwhile, should not expect a convivial Christmas card” from Biden.

The Plagiarism Scandal

President Elect Biden’s dreams are fulfilling. He is going to be the President of the United States.

But this is not the first time that Joe set his eyes to be the president. In fact this was his third time.

Joe Biden could have set foot in the White House long before his 2020 victory. But the plagiarism scandal in 1988 made him withdraw from the elections.

Biden, then a senator, was one of the favourites for the Democratic nomination ahead of the 1988 presidential election.

But during the campaign in 1987, he was forced to withdraw. The reason being that he had borrowed heavily, without credit, from a speech given earlier that year by Kinnock as Labour leader.

That scandal shattered the Biden’s presidential dreams.

Biden the  officially met Kinnock in 2007 in Democrat Senate Office.

Neil Kinnock remembers how Biden in self deprecating humour introduced him to his staff, “Folks, meet my greatest ever speechwriter, Neil Kinnock!”

While on that 2007 visit to Washington, Kinnock later met for a “convivial supper” and Biden told him that an up-and-coming senator called Barack Obama would likely become the next Democratic president.

“Sadly, I didn’t place a bet,” said Kinnock, who was invited by Biden to attend Obama’s 2009 inauguration, when Biden became vice president.
