Ivanka Trump repeats ₹1.7 lakh Argentina trip dress for India visit

US President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka was seen wearing a baby blue and red floral printed dress when she arrived along with her father in India. Ivanka repeated the ₹1.7 lakh dress by Proenza Schouler, a New York-based brand, after she first wore it in Argentina in 2019.

The latest person to join the sustainable fashion bandwagon is Ivanka Trump. This is the second time that Donald Trump’s daughter is visiting India. The first time, when she arrived in November 2017, she blew our minds away with her wardrobe. This time too, as she stepped out of the airplane wearing a stunning baby blue and red floral print midi dress, she made a very loud and extremely powerful statement about sustainable fashion.

A lot of celebrities all across the globe have been making the conscious decision of repeating their outfits lately. The main reason behind this is sustainability. In the process of making a small piece of cloth, a lot of natural resources, especially clean water is used in great amounts. And a celebrity like Ivanka choosing to repeat her dress for a state visit is a statement in itself.

Ivanka wore the same Proenza Schouler baby blue viscose georgette midi dress with a V-neck in September 2019 during her visit to Argentina. There were only minor changes in the way she accessorised the look. The entrepreneur opted to wear the same dress in India, and in her own way, brought light to the topic of sustainability in the world of fashion.
