BTS Member Jin Completes His Five Weeks Military Training

The first member of the K-Pop group Jin entered the Yeoncheon training center on December 13, 2022.

Jin, an oldest member of K-Pop group BTS has now completed five weeks of basic training as part of his 18 months mandatory military service training in South Korea. He will continue to serve in the same battalion.

The first member of the K-Pop group Jin entered the Yeoncheon training center on December 13, 2022, and has since been selected to serve as an assistant instructor at the Yeoncheon army base in northern Gyeonggi province, according to the South Korean military.The 30-year-old star is expected to continue as an assistant instructor in the same battalion.

Jin shared photos on Weverse on Wednesday after completing the basic training. Weverse is a platform K-pop idols use to communicate with fans. Also, videos of him doing his duties as the commander at the ceremony also went viral on the internet.

“I’m enjoying my life. I’m posting pictures after getting permission from the military. Army, be happy and take care,” he wrote, referring to the band’s fans who are known as Army.

BTS is South Korea’s most popular music band earning No. 1 singles in more than 100 countries, more than 46 million followers on Twitter. BTS was awarded Time magazine’s Entertainer of the Year award in 2020. The music band also took home 3 prestigious awards at People’s Choice Awards 2022.
