Xiaomi foldable phone with 5 pop-up cameras could launch soon

Undoubtedly, with the foldable phone Xiaomi will take on the likes of other foldable phones in the market like the Huawei Mate X and Galaxy Fold from Samsung.

We have witnessed the launch of several foldable phones this year. Starting from the Samsung Galaxy Fold (recently launched in India) to the Huawei Mate X — this one is yet to hit the Indian market. Soon after company’s like Samsung and Huawei announced their respective foldable phones earlier this year Xiaomi also revealed that it is working to bring a foldable phone soon. The company also released a video showing the prototype of the Xiaomi foldable phone. A new report now reveals important information about the foldable phone from Xiaomi.

Xiaomi recently launched the Mi CC9 Pro — globally known as Mi Note 10 — with five cameras on the back panel and single sensor on the front. It appears Xiaomi is using the Penta camera technology for its foldable phone as well that should be coming in soon. The Chinese smartphone manufacturer is yet to reveal launch details of the foldable phone but we expect the device to hit the market soon enough. Probably, in some months from now.

According to a patent — first reported by www.tigermobiles.com — Xiaomi’s foldable phone will come with Penta pop-up camera setup. Weird right? We also feel the same. It should be noted that this information is on the basis of a patent and the final design of the Xiaomi foldable phone can differ.

The presence of Penta pop-up camera setup in a foldable phone means it will work as both rear as well as selfie camera. The patent shows the pop-up sit on the left side of the foldable phone when unfolded. Despite including so many cameras, the design of the foldable phone from Xiaomi appears to be clean.

Undoubtedly, with the foldable phone Xiaomi will take on the likes of other foldable phones in the market like the Huawei Mate X and Galaxy Fold from Samsung.

Last week Xiaomi launched its 108MP camera smartphone in China. It is the Mi CC9 Pro. Two days later the global version of the Mi CC9 Pro – Mi Note 10 Pro — launched in Spain. For now, there are no details whether the Mi Note 10 will hit the Indian market or not.
