Talking about the features, Google has upgraded both the hardware and the software of the newly launched Nest Mini smart speaker. Google says that the Nest Mini provides a bass effect that is twice as strong as the original Google Home Mini. It also comes with a Google Assistant that is capable of operating smoothly in the noisy environments. The company says that its virtual assistant automatically modulates the output sound according to the background noise in the room. It also senses proximity to light up the LED as soon as the user’s hand gets close to the device, guiding the user where to tap to adjust the volume.

In addition to that, the newly launched smart speaker comes with the ability to connect multiple Home Mini speakers to build a sound system for a smarter home. Users can also transfer music or podcasts from their phones to their Nest Mini smart speaker. For example, if you are hosting a party and you are done cooking you can say, “Hey Google, move the music to the living room speaker,” to play the music that is playing in your kitchen to your living room.

Additionally, users can also make calls to their family members and friends using the new Google Duo functionality. This feature is available on all Google Home and Nest speakers.

With the new Google Assistant, users can control their compatible smart home devices from brands such as Philips Hue, TP-Link and more. Lastly, the Google Nest Mini can learn the most common commands and process them locally for a faster response time. This feature has been launched in the US and the company says that it will be available in India soon.
