The finals of the IPL 2020 will take place on November 10 in the UAE. Delhi will lock horns with Rohit Sharma-led Mumbai at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. After registering a 17-run victory over Hyderabad, skipper Shreyas Iyer expressed his happiness as Delhi enters the finals.

During the post-match presentation, the 25-year old described the IPL 2020 season as a ‘rollercoaster’. Shreyas Iyer also said that it is the ‘best feeling ever’. He also went on to praise the team spirit and said that players have stuck together as a family throughout the tournament. Shreyas Iyer hailed the spirit as his team stayed together despite the ups and downs they faced as Delhi enters the finals.

Following the victory against Hyderabad, Iyer said, “A lot of responsibility comes as a captain, and on top of that you have to maintain consistency as a batsman. But I feel I have been getting a lot of support from my coaches and the owners. Really fortunate to have such an amazing team.”

Later on, Shreyas discussed the team strategy they used against Hyderabad after winning the toss ande electing to bat first.

The skipper confessed that the Delhi team has struggled with opening partnerships. Hence, they let Marcus Stoinis open the game to get the much-needed push.

The decision proved to be worth it, as Stoinis played the knock of 38 runs off 27 deliveries. Alongside Stoinis, opener Shikhar Dhawan also played a crucial knock of 78 runs off 50 balls. Both the batsmen helped Delhi put up a target of 190 runs.

On the other hand, Hyderabad’s batsman struggled in front of Delhi’s bowling attack of Kagiso Rabada and Marcus Stoinis. Except for Kane Williamson, other all batsmen succumbed to the lethal blow of Delhi’s bowling unit.

Well, now the cricket buffs await a wonderful face-off between Mumbai and Delhi. If Mumbai wins it will be their 5th title win, while it will be the maiden win for Delhi.
