In an epic clash at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Mumbai out lashed Delhi to emerge as the winners of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. The whole Mumbai’s fans are rejoicing as it happens to be Mumbai’s fifth IPL title. Among others, cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar also congratulates Mumbai as they lift the IPL 2020 trophy.

Taking to his Twitter handle, Sachin Tendulkar congratulates the Mumbai team for their dominance in the 13th season of IPL. The former Mumbai batsman wrote, “What a victory by the boys! Complete domination by @mipaltan! Well done to the players and the support staff who have continued from where they left off last year.”

For the unknown, in the final of IPL 2020, Delhi skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss. Following the same, he chose to bat first. However, the Kiwi pacer Trent Boult struck and Delhi’s batting unit stumbled.

Except for the skipper and Rishabh Pant’s knock, the other Delhi batsmen failed to impress. The two scored 65 and 56 respectively helping their team set up a target of 157 runs.

Mumbai easily chased down the total with Rohit Sharma’s fiery inning of 68 runs off 51 balls. Later on, Ishan Kishan also contributed 33 runs off 19 balls making the run chase easier for his team.

It was all celebrations for the Mumbai team as they lifted their fifth IPL trophy. Rohit Sharma also becomes the only captain in IPL to have won these many titles.

Mumbai team showed an all-round performance throughout the tournament. Their batsmen- Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, Rohit Sharma, and Kieron Pollard were in-form. Also, their bowling unit of Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult, and Nathan Coulter Nile was a nightmare for the opposition.

According to the reports, the IPL 2021 will begin in the month of April or March. However, it depends on the COVID-19 situation.
