Amid the nationwide lockdown because of the COVID-19 outbreak major sporting events have either been called-off or postponed. Various cricketing tournaments have also been adversely affected by the global pandemic and doubts hover over the Indian Premier League (IPL) and T20 World Cup.

In the midst of the lockdown, the cricketers are finding unique ways to interact with their fans and followers. The cricketers are spreading awareness about the COVID-19 disease via their social media and are urging people to stay indoors to combat the spread of the virus.

Meanwhile, team India’s fiery batsman Shikhar Dhawan interacted with former India pacer Irfan Pathan on a Live session on Instagram. They both asked each other random and funny question to entertain their fans during the interactive session.

During the rapid-fire game on the Live session, Irfan quizzed Shikhar to pick his favourite captain and favourite batting partner. Dhawan was spontaneous with his response and surely did surprise his fans. The 34-year old opener chose MS Dhoni as his favourite captain and Rohit Sharma as his favourite batting partner.

Responding to Irfan’s question, Dhawan said, “(Best batting partner will be) Rohit Sharma. I have played under Virat and Dhoni, so, as of now, Dhoni bhai.”

However, Dhawan picked current India skipper Virat Kohli as the ‘best current Indian batsman’. He also praised Hitman Sharma for his phenomenal performance in last year’s ICC World Cup, Dhawan said, “Rohit did brilliantly in the World Cup as he scored five centuries.”

Further, into the conversation, Irfan asked Shikhar to name the toughest bowler he has ever faced, to which the latter replied Australian pacer Mitchell Starc.

He also expressed his views on IPL saying that the tournament must be played as people are currently surrounded by the news of just coronavirus and fear.

Speaking of IPL, the 13th season of the money-spinning tournament was scheduled to play from March 29 but got indefinitely postponed due to the lockdown.
