The victims of the helicopter crash that killed the NBA legend Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna are finally identified.

Nine people lost their lives in the tragic helicopter crash that killed legendary basketball player Kobe Bryant and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna in Calabasas, Calif.

The victims were flying to Thousand Oaks in California on Sunday for a basketball practice. Gianna was going to be playing and Bryant was going to be coaching his little girl.

Gianna Bryant

 

Kobe Bryant’s 13-year-old daughter lost her life in this fatal crash. Talking about coaching her in an interview the NBA star said "It's a lot of fun. I mean, she's really driven, very competitive ... and we have a group of kids that love the game. They have an appetite to learn more. And so, I enjoy being around them."

John Altobelli

John Altobelli was the head baseball coach at Orange Coast College in Costa Mesa.

 

"It's hard to put into words what this loss means to the college and the athletics department," Orange Coast College Athletics Director Jason Kehler told a news portal.

Christina Mauser

Sarah Chester and Payton Chester

Sarah Chester and her daughter Payton were on also victims to this tragedy. Payton was a teammate of Gianna Bryant.

The Chesters said in a statement released Monday, "Sarah and Payton were the lights of our family,"

"Payton had a smile and personality that would light any room, and a passion for the game of basketball.  She found joy on any court and loved all of her teammates and coaches.”

 

"Sarah was full of life and the glue of our family.  She was a tireless force in support of her family.  The love we feel from so many today is a testament to the community she created for us."

Ara Zobayan

 

Ara Zobayan was the pilot. He was Bryant’s private pilot as well. "He doesn't let anyone else fly him around but Ara," a source revealed to a leading daily.
