The eight IPL franchise owners made no headway during Monday's teleconference, as the situation in the past 48 hours has not changed much in the country as well as globally in the wake of the Coronavirus. The start of the IPL-13 was suspended from 29 March to 15 April with India currently reporting 114 positive cases and 2 deaths.

All foreign visas were put on hold until April 15, while Sourav Ganguly, president of the BCCI, indicated that a "truncated IPL" could be a possibility with at least 17 days ready lost.

"Nothing concrete was discussed in today's meeting [con-call]. It was just a follow-up meeting. The situation has not changed in 48 hours, so talking about hosting the IPL is still premature," said an official close to one of the IPL franchises.

He further added, “We have to wait and watch. We will keep doing these con calls on a weekly basis to take stock of the situation.”

Out of the six to seven options, one divides the teams into two groups with top four qualifying for the knock-outs in case the situation improves by April 15.

There are also proposals to raise the number of doubleheaders in a shorter period or to have matches in three or four centers to limit travel. Another option It still remains available for the BCCI to have the matches in vacant stands.
