IPL 2020: AB de Villiers On Virat Kohli’s Captaincy “Always Leads From The Front”

AB de Villiers is all praises for his Royal Challengers Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli. ABD says that Virat Kohli always leads from the front and sets an example. Read below to know more.

The 13th season of the Indian Premier League will kick-start soon and all the eight teams are gearing up. Each of the IPL teams is sweating hard in the nets to give their best performance during the tournament. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) alongside its skipper Virat Kohli is also drilling in the nets. A while back, ABD spoke on Virat Kohli’s captaincy.

The former South Africa player is all praises for the 31-year old Indian batting legend. AB de Villiers also expressed his opinions on IPL being played amid the on-going coronavirus pandemic.

ABD said, “I think the clarity about the IPL happening came one month back, more or less. BCCI has done a remarkable job in getting the IPL going, we are very excited to play the tournament.”

The 36-year old batsman continued by saying that he is feeling better than ever. As a result, he is looking forward to play the tournament with the boys.

In the video shared by RCB on YouTube, ABD spoke on Virat Kohli’s captaincy as well. De Villiers’ said that they have worked hard and they are also having a good work ethic.

Praising the skipper, ABD said that all the credit for it goes to Virat Kohli. Praising him the former Proteas’ batsman said, “The credit needs to go to Virat, he sets the example and leads from the front. It is pretty easy to follow when you have a captain who is always leading from the front.”

The wicket-keeping batsman continued by saying that the side this year has a different feel to it as it has a lot of options in every department.

A while back, even Virat Kohli said he feels this year’s RCB squad well balanced since 2016.

It will be interesting to the RCB boys play this year’s tournament given the strong statements by their star players.
