Rahul Gandhi Reacts On PM Modi’s Plan To Quit Social Media

Rahul Gandhi trolls Prime Minister Narendra Modi after his tweet on quitting social media.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday tweeted that he is planning to quit social media. He wrote, “This Sunday, thinking of giving up my social media accounts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram & YouTube. Will keep you all posted.”

His unexpected thoughts created a ruckus on Twitter as everyone started to speculate the reason behind it.  Soon, opposition leaders’ reactions started to pour in. And Rahul Gandhi’s reaction is something that grabbed our attention.

Without wasting much time, Rahul Gandhi wrote, “Give up hatred, not social media accounts.”

But little did Rahul Gandhi knew that he would be trolled back for his comment. Tripura Chief Minister and BJP leader Biplab Deb wrote, “So that’s the reason Sonia Gandhi doesn’t have any Social Media account?”

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor took a dig at PM Modi by writing, “The PM’s abrupt announcement has led many to worry whether it’s a prelude to banning these services throughout the country too. As @narendramodi  knows well, social media can also be a force for good & for positive & useful messaging. It doesn’t have to be about spreading hate.

Alka Lamba poked fun as she tweeted, “Foreign leaders will just miss your congratulatory messages in different languages.”

PM Modi currently has 53.3 million followers on Twitter and 35.2 million on Instagram.
